CAF has been awarded the contract to supply 27 trams for the capital of Scotland, Edinburgh, for an amount of 75 million euros

The decision was taken by TIE (Transport Initiative for Edinburgh).

It consists of 27 units, each with 7 modules.

The contract includes, in addition, maintenance for a 30 year period.

Each tram shall have a 250 passenger capacity.
